Just to remind you about the upcoming show…
It’s on Friday the 1st of March at 7 PM- One show- at 55 Bar located at 55 Christopher Street, NYC (and 7th ave)
I will be singing with Helio Alves on piano, Gustavo Amarante on bass and Adriano Dos Santos on drums.
We will do a lot of brazilian music – after all it’s Carnaval time!!! and some originals as well.

I wanted to give you an update of what’s going on these days with my musical life…I have been writing and recording a new project. Its been a while since I recorded new music and at first, I felt a bit insecure but I am feeling more confident now. I recorded at Systems 2, a great sounding studio in Brooklyn and also at home. I will upload a couple of the tunes as soon as I mix them. I am excited!
In terms of shows… I will be playing at the 55 Jazz Bar New York City on March 1st at 7 pm. The club is located at 55 Christopher St. in the West Village. If you are in the area, please come see the show!

Queria contarles que he estado escribiendo y grabando un nuevo projecto. Subire algunas de las nuevas canciones en cuanto las tenga mezcladas. Estoy feliz de grabar musica nueva! Hacia tiempo que no lo hacia. Al principio estaba un poco nerviosa pero ya me empiezo a sentir con mas confianza. Algunas canciones fueron grabadas en Systems 2, un estudio de grabacion localizado en Brooklyn que es espectacular!
Tambien queria contarles que estare cantando en NYC en un club de jazz que se llama 55 Bar que esta en 55 Christopher St. en el West Village. El show sera el primero de marzo a las 7 de la tarde. Si estan en NYC ese dia, no se lo pierdan!!

Dear friends,
As the clean up continues in the hardest hit areas of the East Coast of the country, there are still many families without basic necessities and in desperate need. There are many Sandy Relief Drives organized through out the city to help those in need. They welcome donations such as: warm coats & sweaters, gloves, winter hats, towels, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, paper towels, non perishable baby food, canned food, crackers, chips, dried fruit & nuts, diapers, flashlights, batteries, candles, waterproof shoes, gloves and pet food.
The Goodwill organization and the Brother’s Brother Foundation are two organizations that are distributing basic necessities to people in need. Additionally, the Red Cross is providing shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance to those affected by Hurricane Sandy. If you want to help by giving a financial donation, please go to Red Cross. Let’s help those families that still do not have electricity and water and have suffered tremendous loss.

The show at Glenn Miller was really great. Wayne Krantz, Svante Henryson and Morgan Ågren were incredible. I tried some new musical ideas during the show, I looped my vocals and was able to improvise over those. It was a new thing for me; I feel I am finding new ways of expressing myself in that manner. This band really inspired me to try new things. Wayne Krantz’ music was incredibly creative. Svante played both the electric bass and the cello -what cool sound!- and Morgan was phenomenal. The club had a great vibe too! I am attaching some pics from the show, hope you like them! I am leaving Stockholm today…
El show en Glenn Miller salio super bien. Fue increible cantar con Wayne Krantz, Svante Henryson and Morgan Ågren. Que musicasos!!! He comenzado a explorar diferentes sonidos con mi voz. Durante este show use un pedal que hace loops de mi voz e improvise sobre ellos, algo nuevo que voy a agregar a mis futuros shows.Fue muy lindo! La musica de Wayne como siempre, fantastica. La gente estaba feliz. Svante toco el bajo electrico y el cello, fue muy diferente y super musical. Lo mismo el baterista; muy musical. La gente del club, genial. Aqui van algunas fotos…Hoy dejo Estocolmo…
Here’s an update about the show on the 5th of August in Stockholm, Sweden. It will be a somewhat eclectic night of music.
The musicians: on electric guitar, the greatest Wayne Krantz, on cello and electric bass, a great musician from Sweden Svante Henryson and on drums, Morgan Ågren who is phenomenal.
It will be mostly improvised which is very exciting for me. I will bring my guitar and play some songs alone. At some point, Svante may join me on cello (I have never played with a cello player before!!) and Wayne will play on a couple of songs. Wayne Krantz will then play his incredible music during the second set and the last set will be everybody together. That’s the initial plan…I am excited!!
The club “Glenn Miller” is a cool jazz venue located in the center of this gorgeous city. Stockholm is really beautiful. I attached some pics for you.

El club donde tocaremos el 5 de agosto se llama “Glenn Miller”; es un lugar cool de jazz en el centro de la ciudad. Stockholm es una cuidad bellisima!!
Just leaving Poland now…The concert was sold out and everything went well. The festival founder Piotr and all the people working with him were spectacular. The people I encountered were so warm and beautiful. I had learned some words in Polish to say during the show but they did not come out well, oh well…
This time, I opened the show by playing 2 songs on the guitar. A couple of days before the show Piotr had asked me to play September and Fantasia, which were not on my song list. I was hesitant at first but I decided to follow his suggestion and give it a shot. Adding them to the show was a great idea! I played September alone with the guitar and we did Fantasia with Jim and Boris. The songs came out great. I attached some pics of Gdynia and Gdansk here for you to see how gorgeous these cities in Poland are. Now Stockholm….August 5th show! More later
Queridos amigos, el concierto en Polonia salio muy bien. El teatro estaba completamente lleno. La gente de Polonia es super linda, simpatica y de gran corazon. Me encanto cantar alli. El fundador del festival Piotr y la gente que trabaja con el son maravillosos. Siempre tuve el deseo de conocer Polonia y la verdad es que fue una experiencia increible. Al ultimo minuto, Piotr me pidio que cantara Fantasia y September. Por suerte habia pedido una guitarra y abri el show tocando September sola y luego hicimos Fantasia con Jim y Boris. Salieron muy bien. Subi unas fotos de Gdansk y Gdynia para que vean que hermosas son esas ciudades. Ahora estoy en camino a Estocolmo para mi proximo show el dia 5 de agosto en esa ciudad.
